Virtual Machine / VM Units

In addition to our hardware units, we provide a Virtual Machine(VM) images. They can be purchased from your Partner or Reseller directly. Different VM hardware use different specifications and the Image we provide will need to be converted using your hardware before it can be set up properly.

Using VM Units

VM Units are delivered in a format designed so you can convert the file to be used with VMware or HyperV.

Converting to HyperV: https://oitibs.com/convert-ova-to-vhdx-for-hyper-v/

When finished importing you will need to contact support to get your MAC ID approved.

It is best that you convert your own image as the Specifications of our Virtual Machine may not match yours and could cause unforeseen errors.

Note:

  • If you do not have DHCP on any network interfaces attached to this system you will need to do the initial load on a laptop or on a system that does before moving it to the production
  • There is no VGA output on the VM. If you want to connect via console to the device you have to connect a virtual console to Com1.
