Interfaces (LAN, WAN, WAN2)
Within this section inside of a given site, you are able to modify settings for the LAN, WAN, and WAN2 (when applicable) for the SimpleWAN device. Please be sure to update WAN settings when moving a SimpleWAN device to a new physical location or changing the ISP information for the primary interface. Keep in mind, this is a cloud based device, so moving the device to a new location without first updating this interface will not allow the SimpleWAN device to sync and pull this configuration. View the WAN interface section below for more information on changing the WAN interface, especially if it is the only Internet connection for the SimpleWAN device.
LAN
Within the LAN configuration page, you will be able to perform the following tasks:

Modify the router’s LAN IP address (when using a Hotspot Bridge, always be sure to check that it's not set to 192.168.1.1 as this is commonly used by the provider). This changes the range of the
DHCP Server and may need adjustments.

Modify the router’s Subnet Mask (This generally is going to be set to /24. This will serve most users' needs. Be very careful when changing this setting and make sure you have a firm grasp on the concepts before altering the default value.)

Setup Proxy ARP / CIDR (Classless Inter-Domain Routing) Blocks on the LAN side.
WAN
This is your primary connection.
From here, you will be able to set the ISP information you will be using for your SimpleWAN unit.
Make sure all settings are correct and that no other device is connected IN PARALLEL to the SimpleWAN unit.
WAN Type
WAN Type will be dictated by the Type of Connection you have for your ISP.
- DHCP - Dynamic Addresses provided by the ISP. The Modem will need to be set to BRIDGE/PASSTHROUGH MODE to allow the IP through. Most common type of connection.
- STATIC - A block of IPs provided by the ISP. Static IPs require Manual input of the following information. Usually requires extra fees from your ISP. Often required for companies who use servers or require devices that need to be accessed externally.
- IP Address - A (set of) IP that can be used as the Main IP used by the Unit.

Subnet Mask - A series of Octets provided by the ISP. Match the last digits of the Octet to the ones at the end of the dropdown menu.

Gateway - The main IP used by your Modem. Gateway IP is static and does not Change.

PPPoE - Certain ISP still use this type. A username and password should be provided by the ISP to connect to their servers.

4G (Sierra Wireless) - Used for the Built-In 4G provided by AT&T or T-Mobile, or if you are using the Sierra Wireless 340u USB dongle.

4G (Netgear) - Used for the Netgear 341u USB Dongle provided by Sprint.

Hotspot Bridge - Used with the MiFi hotspot device provided. The username and password of the Wireless you are trying to connect to will be required.
Furthermore, the WAN interface section of the dashboard is where you will need to go to set a Proxy Arp for a 1:1 NAT with this particular interface Using the Provided Static IPs you have available.
Finally, remember that no change is applied unless you click the "Save" button at the bottom of the interface menu!
WAN2
This is an additional
Feature that must first be enabled by your Reseller.
This interface will serve as your secondary connection either for backup or for multiple connections.
WAN2 Mode:
- Failover - Connection is Active-Inactive. This means that the WAN2 will not activate until the primary WAN connection drops. Failover will then move the connection to WAN2. Should connection of the primary WAN return, Failover will move it back to WAN.
- Load Balancing - Connection is Active-Active. This means both connections are running at the same time. Some data will pass on the secondary if the system deems that more available bandwidth is seen at the Secondary (WAN2) connection. You can also set a particular type of data to pass only on either WAN or WAN2 ONLY in the Load Balancing KB.
WAN Type is dictated the Same way as WAN connection.
